DevStackIO publishes educational and informational content about technology. Please read this Disclaimer before relying on anything you read on the Site.

Informational purposes only
Content on DevStackIO is provided for general information and education. It is not legal, medical, financial, security, or other regulated professional advice, and it is not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional who understands your specific situation. If a decision carries legal, financial, medical or safety consequences, consult an appropriately qualified professional first.
No warranty of accuracy or completeness
We work to keep our content accurate, sourced and useful, and we correct genuine errors when they are reported. However, we do not warrant that any article is accurate, complete, fit for a particular purpose, or current at the moment you read it. Software versions, pricing, command-line flags, configuration defaults, API behaviour, security advisories and regulatory requirements change frequently, sometimes without notice. Articles state the date and version they were written against where that matters, but you must independently check the authoritative source before acting on technical details.
Technical content
Articles may include instructions, shell commands, configuration files, code samples, architecture advice and security guidance. You use such content at your own risk. Before you apply any of it:
- make sure you understand what each step does, including anything it changes or deletes;
- test in a safe, non-production environment first where that is possible;
- back up your data and confirm you have a working restore path;
- check the upstream vendor’s current documentation, because the version in an article may no longer match the version you run.
Examples are usually simplified for clarity. Omitted settings, hardened defaults, network topology, and least-privilege constraints that exist in your environment may change what the right configuration is. Do not apply a configuration from an article to a production security, identity, payments or data-retention system without a proper review of your own requirements and an appropriate change process.
Security vulnerability information
We publish summaries of publicly disclosed vulnerabilities and incidents as news and educational content. A summary is not a substitute for the vendor advisory, the CVE record, or your own assessment. We do not provide penetration testing, incident response, or forensic services, and nothing on the Site is a security assessment of your environment. Testing any system for vulnerabilities requires the authorisation of the system’s owner and, where relevant, regulatory approval; we accept no responsibility for testing you are not authorised to perform.
Third-party products, services and comparisons
We discuss, link to and compare third-party products and services. These references do not constitute endorsement, a recommendation tailored to your circumstances, or any warranty about a vendor’s performance, security, pricing, licensing or availability. Vendor terms, roadmaps and licensing change; check the vendor’s own current terms before you buy or deploy anything. Where we compare options, the comparison reflects our judgement on publicly available information at the time of writing, and reasonable readers could weigh the same evidence differently.
Advertising, sponsorship and affiliate relationships
The Site currently displays no advertising, publishes no sponsored content, uses no affiliate links, and operates no online store. Content is not paid for or influenced by any advertiser, sponsor, or vendor. If such relationships are introduced, they will be disclosed in accordance with our Advertising Disclosure and Affiliate Disclosure, and in the relevant article where applicable. Sponsored content, if introduced, will always be clearly labelled, and commercial relationships will never determine the conclusions of an article. See our Editorial Policy.
External links
The Site links to external websites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability, security or privacy practices. A link is provided because it is relevant to the topic, not as an endorsement. If you find an external link that is inaccurate, broken, or inappropriate, please report it at [email protected].
Tool and code output
Where the Site or a related tool produces output — a converted value, a generated configuration, a formatted document, or a diagnostic result — that output is the result of a deterministic transformation of your input. You must review it before relying on it. In particular, generated secrets, tokens, certificates and cryptographic output must be produced and handled in an environment you control, and you are responsible for checking that the tool or method you used is appropriate for your situation. Never paste production secrets into any online tool.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Publisher and any contributor disclaim all liability for loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Site or its content. Nothing here excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.
Report an error
If you believe any content on the Site is inaccurate, outdated, or misleading, please tell us at [email protected] with the article URL and the passage in question. Our process is set out in the Corrections Policy, and we treat correction reports seriously.
